Stephen Knight, Liberal Democrat London Assembly candidate for South West London has warned that the Government's plans to close 12 Post Office branches in South West London will undermine the vitality of local communities.
Stephen Knight said: "These Post Office branches are a vital hub for the local community and in many cases play an important role in maintaining the vitality of local shopping parades.
"Their closure would seriously undermine local communities right across South West London."
"The Liberal Democrats will be leading the campaign to save our local Post Offices."
The Post Office announced plans on 19th February to close 169 branches across London, including 12 branches in South West London (the boroughs of Kingston upon Thames, Richmond upon Thames and Hounslow). These are:
